I am an experienced counsellor, supervisor and trainer, with a background in counselling service management and service development. I have experience of working both in the voluntary and statutory sector, alongside work with criminal justice settings and mental health.
Since training with Relate in 2007, I have practised as an integrative individual, couples and family counsellor, working with a relational focus. I am passionate about helping people to live the best life possible and believe that the quality of the relationships in our lives directly and significantly impact on our overall wellbeing, be it our relationship with ourselves, with our intimate partner or with our family.
I work with a range of relationship difficulties such as separation and divorce, affairs, control or abuse, step family issues, coparenting, life stage transitions, ill health and/or bereavement.
I hope to offer people support (and sometimes challenge!) when struggling with difficulties impacting on their wellbeing on a daily basis. I work with individuals on issues such as loss, illness, bereavement, jealousy, anxiety, depression, self esteem, the ending of a relationship and patterns of behaviour.
I also offer supervision to trainees and to experienced practitioners.
